Benjamin Bannekers letter to Thomas Jefferson Benjamin Banneker began his proposeing since he was a little boy and with much of straining works gained profession in mathematics and scientific fields. Although he was a free African American of his time, he demands for the rights and casualness for the people of color. However, his response to Thomas Jeffersons Declaration of independence was after fifteen years. What held him from responding Jefferson within these fifteen years? ahead Banneker fervently acknowledge himself as a free African American, he consistently mentions about how the African American were set and how important it was for them to gain freedom. He describes that people of color were do by by the whites; they were perceived as brutes and considered as un reasoned. In the sensation-fourth paragraph, he says all men are made of wholeness flesh regardless of belief and race. He was proud to train the fact as it proves that he is well-educated as t he whites. Furthermore, it proves that he has the right to publish his writings and his position in the society.
